The project
Junk is a growing smash-burger chain expanding across Europe. Sister brand Puffy specialises in freshly baked cookies and desserts. Both have distinctive identities that need to translate consistently from the shopfront to the smallest interior detail.
Custom Signs & Print was selected as the UK signage team for both brands, working under Cre8 Commercial Ltd, the contractor responsible for their shop builds and fit-outs.
We have delivered signage at five locations, with two further locations in the pipeline. Our role covers manufacture, supply and installation, bringing together bespoke illuminated lettering, window treatments, interior displays and pavement signage.
Exterior signage
The external lettering combines built-up stainless steel construction with 30mm frosted-clear backs and internal LED lighting. Flush-mounted to the shop fascias, these letters give the brands a substantial physical presence with illuminated detailing.
Bespoke projecting signs use all-acrylic construction, UV-printed lettering and warm-white internal LEDs, carrying the branding along the street as well as across the frontage.
Across the sites, our window work has included branded graphics, solar-control film and mirror vinyls, with the treatment selected for each location.
Outdoor branding
Café barriers feature premium stainless steel bases and posts with fully printed, double-sided canvas panels.
We also manufactured custom stainless steel pavement-sign frames with aluminium swinging panels and printed graphics, supplied across all completed locations.
Interior signage
Inside, bespoke illuminated menu-box casings were manufactured to fit angled plinths and awkward spaces. Laser-cut acrylic headings are combined with self-adhesive vinyl lettering so menu information can be changed, while warm-white internal LEDs illuminate the displays.
Wall-mounted stainless steel and acrylic built-up lettering and logos extend the brands’ identities throughout the interiors.
For the large-format poster installations, we used authentic blue-backed billboard paper, applied using a wet-paste method to create the character and finish of traditional billboard advertising.
An ongoing rollout
The work brings together multiple manufacturing methods and materials within one coordinated signage package. Working with Cre8 Commercial Ltd, we continue to support the UK rollout of both brands as further locations are developed.
